Customizing TikTok embeds with PlayerJS

By default, Iframely renders TikTok embeds using TikTok's HTML-based widget, which includes the post’s text description. However, if you need more flexibility, you can switch to TikTok’s iframe-based player.

Enable TikTok iframe and PlayerJS support

To use TikTok's iframe player, enable the TikTok "Switch to iFrame" setting under the TikTok settings.

When enabled, Iframely will replace TikTok's HTML widget with the iframe-based player and support PlayerJS events for the TikTok iframe.

Customizing the TikTok player

Once the iframe player is enabled, we can help you fine-tune its behavior using TikTok’s supported parameters. These include options like:

• Progress bar
• Play button
• Volume control
• Additional supported controls

You can apply custom parameters to your TikTok embeds within the same TikTok settings in your providers settings.
