Including post captions in Instagram embeds

By default, Iframely displays Instagram posts without the user’s caption to prioritize the media content.

How to enable captions for all Instagram embeds

  1. Open your Iframely settings.
  2. Go to the "Fine-tune providers" section.
  3. Check the option "For Instagram, keep user’s text caption in the post" and save your changes.

Once enabled, Iframely will display the full user caption along with the embedded media.

How to enable captions for specific URLs

If you need to include captions for specific Instagram URLs rather than globally, you can use Iframely’s cherry-picking feature. This allows you to fine-tune options on a per-URL basis. Here's how you can do this:

  1. Go to iframely.com/try.
  2. Enter your URL and request an embed.
  3. In the form on the left of the preview, check the "Show author's text caption" option for your URL.

4. Once ready, hit the "Copy new URL" button - the option you cherry-picked will be included in that new URL.

5. Go to your app, and post that new URL instead of the original for the exact rich media embed.
